Service (FAS), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), shares his excitement about IFE Americas. “I think our own U.S.A. Pavilion will continue to offer the largest selection of top quality products available at the show. Whether its portion control beef, energy drinks, desserts, fresh produce, varietal cheese or anything else in between, you’ll find it at the U.S.A. Pavilion. Moreover, our suppliers continue to lead the way in terms of new and innovative products and the U.S.A. Pavilion is just the place to find those products.”
The Illinois Department of Agriculture will participate in the IFE Americas Food and Beverage Show and sponsor an Illinois Pavilion that includes seven food companies.
Kim Hamilton, International Marketing Representative, Illinois Department of Agriculture, says “Each company was offered a booth package from the department that included the booth and the ECRM package that included 30 pre-set one-on-one appointments with international buyers.”
Products represented from Illinois include: “ giardi-naria and related products, and 18 varieties of hand stuffed olives; coffee creamer, cheese sauce, and pancake syrups; meat products, portioned steaks-lamb, pork, veal and beef; organic foods, natural foods, soft drinks, water, and non-citrus juices, dairy products-various cheeses; snack foods, confections, and condiments (mustard), non-GMO/organ-ic/kosher certified soy flour, soy nuts, soy milk powder and soybean oil.”
In addition to a cornucopia of product, González adds, “several new elements promise to expand and improve opportunities for food trade in the hemisphere and beyond. First of all, the new partnership between the World Trade Center Miami and Montgomery International will certainly broaden the scope of the show. I think it should help transform the show into a true marketplace for food and beverage professionals from around the world, not just from the Americas. In fact, we are already seeing evidence of that as buyers and sellers from Asia, Europe and other parts of the world are being attracted to the show in greater numbers.”
Due to the attractiveness of the U.S., Canadian, Caribbean and South American markets, trade promotion groups from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Italy, Poland, South Africa, Thailand, Malaysia and Turkey are also organizing exhibits with companies from their respective home markets.
Another key partner in the event is American Airlines. With connections to Miami from destinations throughout the hemisphere and the world, American plays a vital role by stepping up with more than 2,500 tickets specifically discounted for the IFE Americas event. American Airlines is “one of the true heroes here. They understand the market place, recognize the business opportunity, and are making our event much better than it would be without them.” said Gallogly.
IFE Americas expects to welcome more than 300 exhibitors from 27 countries together with an estimated
